Associate Content Specialist

About the position:

The Content Team works closely with a team of digital marketing professionals to provide content marketing services for our SEO clients. Our team members take pride in creating shareable, engaging content with a unique point of view that users are looking for.

The Associate Content Specialist is a valuable contributor to our workflow and is responsible for successfully completing a variety of writing, editing, research, and administrative tasks for the Content Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research - Assist with keyword research, competitor research, audience research, brand research, as assigned.
  • Create - Write engaging, informative content that follows established guidelines and SEO best practices.
  • Review - Edit content to ensure quality and adherence to brand standards and compliance regulations.
  • Optimize - Assist with ongoing optimization and improvements to clients’ website content, to ensure success of our clients’ websites and marketing services.
  • Collect - Assist with the collection and maintenance of automotive brand news and events, product releases, program guidelines and compliance regulations.
  • Report - Help with data pulls for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Contribute - Be an active team member and problem solver; working with others to identify opportunities for improved communication and internal processes
  • Clean-up - As we adopt new best practices, processes and tactics that weren’t previously available, we have to go back and implement these on existing clients.
  • Learn and inform - Stay on top of digital marketing best practices. Connect the dots and strive to bring the team new ideas and processes to continually improve our data collection and analyses.
  • Administrative tasks - other admin tasks as assigned by the team.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication - the Associate Content Specialist must be able to clearly and effectively communicate questions or issues to other team members
  • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional proofreading skills
  • Ability to carefully follow instructions/directions and follow established processes
  • Must have keen analytical/problem solving skills
  • Must be organized and able to manage time and workload effectively, and consistently meet deadlines while working independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced constantly changing environment
  • Proficient with Google Docs/Google Sheets or Microsoft Word/Microsoft Excel

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous digital marketing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with SEO best practices, Google Analytics, WordPress is a plus.
  • Passion for the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Ability to write/edit fluently in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion a brand, project, or initiative is a plus.
