About the Position:

The position of Social Media Strategist is vital to the health and growth of Launch Digital Marketing (LDM), and is located in Naperville, Illinois (this is not a remote position). This position is responsible for overseeing projects to build our Tier 2 automotive clients’ social platforms through the strategic and creative use of social media in a timely manner.  The Social Media Strategist recognizes that each client has their own goals and budget and that social media is not a one size fits all platform.  Our clients live in a fast paced competitive environment, meeting deadlines is a must.  Passion for social media, an innovative understanding of marketing and forward thinking are vital to this role.  Enthusiasm for the automotive vertical is essential for long-term success as well.

Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Be on the pulse of latest social media platforms, industry and marketing trends
  • Review and analyze all social media reporting metrics for all clients
  • Ongoing communication on social, video and SEO strategies with internal Tier 2 team
  • Manage client expectations and escalate any issues

Job Duties, (other duties may be assigned):

  • Conduct, gather and analyze market research to determine social media opportunities
  • Research client competitors and industry trends
  • Coordinate with internal auto expert on content
  • Ongoing communication with internal teams on priorities, opportunities and client feedback
  • Responsible for presenting analytics and strategic plans to Project Management team
  • Daily and weekly communication with clients regarding strategy, marketing needs and promotional/event planning
  • Present status of campaigns with analysis and reporting findings
  • Maintain knowledge of OEM compliance standards and regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of email best practices and take lead on sending and reporting on email blasts

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of social media marketing experience including blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
  • An energetic team player, with a can-do attitude and a positive personality
  • Experience in integrating content into multiple social distribution channels
  • Superior communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Search Engines and Search Engine Optimization
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a passion to use data to influence and refine the social media strategy
  • Keen attention to detail
  • An Automotive industry enthusiast is preferred
