Digital Marketing - Technical SEO Specialist

About the Position

The LDM Technical SEO team lives and breathes best practices, and is hallmarked by our dual ability to both understand and optimize for the user’s journey and needs, and identify/implement necessary technical elements for search engines. In this role, Specialists will work independently to perform audits for their client’s websites and work with the Account Management team and the client’s website platform to implement fixes. Specialists also collaborate with other teams such as Content and Analytics to look for ways to improve upon a client’s SEO, and should be comfortable diving into data to identify opportunities for growth. Further, the SEO Specialists serve as internal subject matter experts on all things SEO for the LDM team and their clients, and are responsible for staying abreast of industry changes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive website and index & crawl audits following an established process, using industry tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and more.
  • Create client facing deliverables using a pre-set template that explains audit findings
  • Create and monitor tasks aimed at resolving technical and UX concerns found during audits
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Local, Analytics and Content and Publishing to find ways to enhance and improve a client’s overall web presence
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, and work to educate fellow team members in and out of the department
  • Adhere to LDM’s 5 tenets: Communicate, Innovate, Learn, Give, and Be Transparent.

Skills/Requirements

  • Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMRush, ahrefs, Yoast SEO, Google Search Console etc.
  • At least 1 year of technical SEO experience, with a strong understanding of quality UX, as it relates to SEO
  • Extreme attention to detail and an ability to self-check work for correctness
  • Keen analytical/problem solving skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Abil­ity to function effectively in an ambiguous, complex, and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and anticipate consumer needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Invested in the success of the team, with an aptitude for teaching and a desire to help fellow SEOs grow their knowledge base/skillset
  • Proficient with Google Docs/Google Sheets or Microsoft Word/Microsoft Excel
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification is a PLUS
  • An understanding of directory cleanup, directory consistency, and directory link building is a PLUS
